Cream and Country ice-cream embraces the Best of British theme
Quirky new ice-cream brand Cream and Country has launched in the UK, unveiling a range of quintessentially British flavours.
The company, which supports British armed forces charities, as well as farmers, has created tub designs with varieties such as rhubarb and ginger, English sparkling wine, elderflower and cream teas.
This luxury ice cream brand was inspired by King Charles II who was the first British monarch to serve ice cream at a legendary Windsor Castle banquet in 1671, celebrating St George’s Day.
Continuing the royal theme, Cream & Country are proud to be working with His Royal Highness Prince Michael of Kent, the Royal ambassador for the brand. HRH Prince Michael is delighted to be associated with Cream & Country as an enterprise that supports the British Forces charities.
Brigadier Tweedie Brown CBE, chairman of Cream and Country, a veteran of HM Forces, who has a long association with British Forces charities, said: ͞”Helping Forces’ charities is a huge part of what Cream & Country stands for. We use the best of British produce and our Forces are amongst the best in the world.
“The characteristics of our farmers – hard work, dedication, pride in what they do – are a perfect match with the ethos of our sailors, soldiers and air forces. I am particularly pleased that the Royal Hospital Chelsea, with its Royal and historical associations, is our cornerstone charity.
”As an advocate of British produce, Cream & Country are committed to working with independent British farmers who rear grass-fed cows to create the highest quality milk and never jeopardise quality for profit.
Taste director, Mark Murphy, said: ͞”Not only is it extremely important for us to support our committed and hardworking British farmers, it’s also vital to maintain the luxury and unique taste of Cream & Country ice cream. Milk produced by grass reared cows makes a huge difference and creates a delicious, rich ice cream flavour that is truly indulgent.”
Cream & Country tubs are distributed via Brakes and Elite and are stocked in independent retailers and cinemas around the country, plus work and industry locations as well as Virgin Atlantic. We are delighted to be supplying Warner Music.
