Walkers adds Fusions variation to its Oven Baked range

PepsiCo-owned snack brand Walkers is introducing a Fusions variation to its Oven Baked range.

The oven baked crisps, which contain 50% less fat than standard potato crisps, come in three flavours: Thai Chilli & Lime, Spicy Tomato & Herbs and Cheddar & Red Pepper. All three flavours are available in multipacks with the latter two also available in a single serve format.

The Fusions line-up offers topical seasoning and more unusual flavour combinations with herbs and spices baked into the crisp. Oven Baked Fusions have been created to appeal to a new audience as well as existing consumers and overall received positive feedback during consumer testing.

Thomas Barkholt, marketing director at PepsiCo, notes, “We are delighted to have seen customers convert to Walkers Oven Baked when looking for healthier snacking options and we want to offer the same oven baked goodness, in more exotic flavour combinations. With consumers seeking convenient, healthy food with substance, we are confident that this new range will appeal to customers looking for an exciting snacking option.”

The range, which is available at a retail price of £0.70 for the single serve packs and £1.80 for the multipacks; will be available across grocery, wholesale and convenience in the UK, as well as being supported by TV advertising during the summer.
